Hello, I just got back home after a long day. I had a great time playing Laser Tag with the Advertlets gang. Got 9th place in a FFA game and won 1st in a TDM match! This is probably my 2nd time playing Laser Tag ; the first time was in Australia years ago. [Review] iPhone 4 VS Samsung S8530 Wave II

Samsung? iPhone? Which one should I pick? Today I will be writing a review on the Samsung S8350 Wave II. Basically I will be writing about the basic stuff like size/weight, screen, controls, apps, speaker/volume out/vibrate mode, memory, camera and battery life!

Both phones are Smartphones and have a few things in common like GPS, Push Email, HTML, 5MP digital camera and touch focus. However what makes the Samsung S8530 different is the FM Radio with RDS and FM recording which the iPhone 4 doesn't. You can say all phones nowadays have FM radio build in right? Positive or Negative?

Size/Weight

Samsung measures 123.9 x 59.8 x 11.8 mm and weights 135g

iPhone 4 measures 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3mm and weights 137g

- So the iPhone is smaller in side but slightly heavier

Screen Size

Samsung : 3.7 inch touchscreen with Super clear LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x800 resolution with multi-touch input and handwriting recognition.

iPhone 4 : 3.5 inches LED - backlit IPS TFT display with 640 x 960 resolution with Accelerometer sensor for auto rotate and three-axis gyro sensor.

-So the iPhone is smaller in screen size but the Samsung has got a bigger screen size which is a big plus sign to many users. I feel the iPhone 4 screen is much sharper compared to the Samsung.

Controls

Both Samsung and iPhone requires you to "Slide to Unlock" the phone. After playing with the phone for quite sometime, I say sliding on the Samsung is slightly harder compared to the iPhone 4. Texting on both phones is easy and no problems. One thing I dislike about the Samsung is that you are not able to send emails, tweet and so on without a sim card being inserted into a phone. It makes the phone practically useless if you were to be on holiday and not bring your sim card along because of the roaming charges and unwanted calls coming in these days.

Apps

Samsung has got its own app store and you are able to download apps without an account for free apps. Definitely a plus sign if you are those who doesn't like owning too many online accounts. iPhone 4 has got its own app store and you have to register an account if you want to download any apps.

- Interms of number of apps, the winner is clearly Apple's App Store over Samsung Mobile App Store. However, with the samsung you don't have to create an account to download free content. Both App Store have got games/apps which is suitable for different age groups. Anyone up for a game of Asphalt 5?

Speaker/Volume out/Vibrate mode

The speaker on the Samsung is louder than the iPhone but the sound output is not as good. It sounds shallow and have a little cracking sound when you play some trance. On the iPhone, the speaker sounds softer but the output is much better. I played Epik High- Run on both the phone speaker as well as through a headphone and the sound seems to be very shallow as well. Vibrate mode on the Samsung is just incredible. Even walking on a busy street, you are still able to feel it. Perfect phone for those don't pick up their phone calls.

Memory Card

The samsung uses a micro SD which can go up to 32GB. Same capacity like the iPhone. So that means if you love music or movies, you can buy a few of the 32GB micro SD card and store all your data up. Unlimited memory on the samsung?

Camera

A camera is one of the main essential tool when a phone to many. Both phones is able to take pictures at 2592 x 1944 resolution and has god LED flash. The iPhone produces much better colors than the samsung. However the Samsung produces less noise than the iPhone. So what is your pick? Noise or Colors?

Battery Life

The Samsung has got better talk time than the iPhone. 8.3 hours in 3G over the iPhone 4 7 hours.

Conclusion

So which phone is your pick? The iPhone 4 32GB is retailing for Rm 2400( Singapore) and the price of the Samsung Wave II is probably around Rm 1500. Samsung is half half the price and it has got quite a number of features up its sleeve which kicks the iPhone 4 upside down. It all depends of self preference at the end of the day.

Jump! Jump! Jump!

OLA! I just got back home from a studio session and it was indeed fun. Took a couple of photos of myself and I am pretty much happy with the outcome. Later in the evening, had dinner at Williams with the others and I ate soft shell crab fried rice. Williams is always very generous when it comes to portion. 1 huge plate which feeds for 2! To be honest, everything there is nice. Whatever you can think off, they can make something up and it will definitely taste good. Well, I will be reviewing the Samsung Wave II tomorrow. Firstly, I would like to wish all my readers a Happy New Year! Welcome to year 2011. So how did you guys celebrate your New Year? Mine was pretty awesome. Drinks, Music, Pizza and a hotel room filled with people banging their heads to DJ Hanie's beat. Not to mention we had a great view of all the fireworks that happened around town while partying from the Hotel room. Thank you Advertlets for organizing this party.

Before the party, I had dinner with the bunch at Skewers! Apple Crumble.

Orchid Park, Pavilion & Curve

Well, I just got back home from a day at the Orchid Park, Pavilion and dinner at Curve. I am dead tired. Well, here is a few pictures of what I took today. Thanks Jason aka Mynjayz for buying us Christmas Dinner at Bubba Gump!

I went to Lake Garden, Orchid Park in the morning with Justin, JonYKT and Jeremy and JonYKT wanted to test his new toy. So I brought my macro along and all I can say it is still hard to shoo up close even with the help of IS.

Later on I went for lunch at Pavilion. It was my first time trying this restaurant. Its called Pepper Lunch. Food was quite alright and I ordered Pepper Chicken. I poured a whole lot of honey aka their secret sauce. You should go check their restaurant out!

[Budapest] Top of Budapest

Today was one great day! I walked for one hour from my hotel to Margaret Island. It is basically a huge park on an island. Nothing spectacular. If you are a park go-er, it is very beautiful. Sadly it is winter now, so all you see is snow everywhere. They have a japanese garden in the park and benches to enjoy the evening sunset. I say it will be very pretty in the summer.

After enjoying a stroll at Margaret Island, I took a tram ride to the Central Market. It is huge and clean. Cleaner than our Malaysian public toilets. They sell hundreds of things from food to souvenirs.

The last stop of the day was Gellert Hill. It was a great hike to the top. I was greeted by a nice panorama of the whole Danube River.

I will be leaving to London tomorrow. Hopefully I will be able to fly out of Budapest as I have been watching CNN and more airports are being closed right now due to the snow. Till then, goodbye.

Hello. It has been a long day and I am tired. Before I go to bed, I shall do a short blog post on where I visited today. In today's menu, I visited Castle Hill which is basically a castle on top of a hill. There are 2 ways of you going to up the hill which is either take a Siklo or walk up. I was smart and took the Siklo up as walking up a hill at -3 degrees is not fun at all.

I just walked around the garden of the castle. They had an art exhibition going on but I did not bother entering as you have to pay to enter. After all, I am not an art viewing enthusiast.

After viewing Castle Hill, I walked across a bridge, walked for a long time and there it was. The Parliament building. This has got to be one of the best Parliament building I have seen in my life. The architecture is just unbelievable.

The final stop of the day was Christmas market. Every city I visited in the past few weeks, I will surely visit their Christmas market. This is because each market is different. Some is bigger, some is smaller, some sells more things some sells less. Not to mention it brings the Christmas spirit in me.

Out of the whole Christmas shopping, this bread has got to be my favorite. It is basically bread being burnt over fire and they add nuts/sugar on top of the bread. As you can see in the picture, they sell you the whole thing. I can eat the whole thing by myself. That shows how it is super tasty.

Tomorrow I will be heading to Margaret Island and central market. Well, that is all for now. Not to mention I almost went to jail today. It was an experience. HAHA! Adios.

[Budapest] Hungry Hungarian

Szia! Today I took an 8 hour train ride from Prague to Budapest and it was great! All you see is snow throughout the whole journey. As soon as I reached Budapest earlier in the evening, I went to have dinner at a Hungarian Restaurant. I can say the way they prepare their dish and the taste is totally different to how the Czech people make their dish. Currently watching CNN as I am typing this and heard that the Airport in Prague was closed due to winter. Luckily I took the train to Budapest. If not I will be stranded at the Airport.

The restaurant is pitch dark and I was lazy to use my external flash. Most of the pictures shot at F1.2 and I am still trying to tame this lens. :D

Hungarian Beef Stew. Very nice. Served with noodles.

Chicken paprika with noodles. Noodles taste like macaroni. Quite starchy.

Pancake served with chicken. The pancake is covered with cream and a sour sauce.

Tomorrow starts my first day of sightseeing in Budapest. Hoping to try more Hungarian food. YAY!!

Prague Castle

Ahoj! I am drinking some Coca-Cola as I am typing this blogpost. It has been a long time ever since I blogged and drink coke at the same time. All I can say is Prague is cold. Very cold. In the next couple of pictures, you will see more white colors than the usual colorful colors. Yesterday I visited a couple of Christmas Market as well as Charles Bridge and other beautiful looking street. In Europe you can find Christmas Markets in every city you go to without fail. You can buy food, gifts as well as last minute christmas tree shopping. Not to mention they blast loud music. Not rock music but christmas carols. Today I visited Prague Castle and went window shopping around the streets of Prague.

Colosseum!

Hello! I just arrived Prague and it is coming to 12pm. Was suppose to update a few pictures yesterday but the internet was pretty slow. Anyways, I was suppose to leave Rome for Prague at 4pm today but the flight got delayed until 7.30. Well, what was the reason? In my mind, I was thinking about snow. I was right as soon as I touched down Prague Airport. Snow was everywhere and it was 2-4 feet of snow. Pretty crazy I must say. As soon as the pilot landed the plane, everyone was clapping their hands as we finally reached our destination without any problems. Went to the Colosseum and Vatican City yesterday and it was beautiful. Today I decided to enjoy the Vittorio Emanuele II Monument.

[Rome] Trevi Fountain

Hello! I finally made it to Rome! The flight I flew on only took 25 minutes from Santorini to Athens when normally it will take about 50 minutes. HAHA! Today I visited the Trevi Fountain and just walked around Via del Corso which is basically a street filled with designer brands from Louis Vuitton to Armani. It is really fun when walking around rome because there is so many things to see. You get to enjoy historical sites and yet shop at the same time. Pretty interesting I must say. Tomorrow I will be visiting the Colosseum and some other places if time permits. The weather here is pretty alright. Sunny all day long. Well, I got to go as my Macbook battery is running out. Chow!

Hello! I am currently in Santorini and its currently winter now. This morning I was greeted with slight hail and wind but its all good. I went to Oia yesterday to take some pictures of the sunset but it was cloudy all over town. Took the bus back and went back to the hotel. On my way I took some pictures of the breath taking landscape and out of a suddenly I see a ray of light. It was incredible. Well, I am off to the city! Adios.

Jump! - London

Ola from Barcelona! I arrived Barcelona yesterday night and I almost missed my flight due to the cold weather + snow. It was really an adventure. HAHA! Sometimes things happen. The weather here is not too bad. No snow and it is only 10 degrees. Back in london the temperature was going around -1 degree. It was freezing.

Will be going for some shopping later and maybe even visit the Christmas market. Adios!

A few minutes ago my cousin just came online to send me a few pictures from his Vietnam trip. Well, he is still there and out of 101 pictures of trees, food and mountains. He had to send me pictures of food and it is 11.02pm as I am typing this. After seeing his pictures, I am now feeling hungry. Did some minor editing for him. As you know I am one of those guys who is lazy to edit photos. I like it fresh!

I don't know what both dish is called but it just looks so good.

[Hong Kong] Victoria Peak

When you visit Hong Kong, one of the places you would want to visit is Victoria Peak. It is basically a mountain where you go during the evening to watch the sun set and enjoy the view of Central Hong Kong, Victoria Island and its surrounding Island.

I decided to make my trip to The Peak into a day trip as I know hopping from one train to the other and getting lost even with a map. After all, you are all set for an adventure.

My morning jump! I was so excited to capture some beautiful skyline of Hong Kong island.

I was living on Kowloon side and basically there is 2 ways of going to Hong Kong Island. One is via subway(underground train) and the other is using the Star Ferry. I decided to hop on the Star Ferry and enjoy the 10 minute ride to Hong Kong Island. I can say that going on this is 10 times better because not only you get to enjoy the view but take some photographs. I paid 3 hong kong dollar which is about 1 ringgit for the ferry ride.

After reaching the ferry terminal, there is 2 way for you to go to Victoria Peak. One is take a cab to the tram station and the other is take the Central-Mid-levels escalators. It is about 800m long and world longest outdoor covered escalator. Guess which one I picked?

As we reached the top, I was 20 minutes away from the tram station. Thought to myself, 20 minutes walk is not a problem. So I walked and walk, up the hill and pass a botanical garden and finally arrived at the tram station after 1 hour. HAHA!

I took the tram up and as soon as I reached the top, it was already night. Took a couple of pictures and I was blown away by the view. To those who wants to go up there, remember to bring a sturdy tripod up. The wind almost blew my tripod and my camera away.

After dinner, we roam around the shops at the peak. They even have ice cream up there. :D

Yesterday was one great day. I managed to do so many things that I enjoy doing all in ONE day. I have never done that before but all I can say is, its tiring but the fun is just unexplainable. I will write a full blog post after my finals which is next week. For now, we shall keep it as a teaser.

I went for a photoshoot with Chloe and Michelle. Two great models!

After the shoot, I went for LEX Slide. Did you know what LEX Slide at Empire Shopping Gallery is the longest shopping mall slide? I went on that thing TWICE. Its pretty cool. I also heard they had this thing where you can slide down from top to bottom and be the fastest in South East Asia. Maybe I should try out. :D Thanks Nigel aka FlyGuy from the invite!

I went to Uniqlo opening day today!

Uniqlo! Uniqlo! Uniqlo! Uniqlo! Uniqlo! Uniqlo! Uniqlo!

One of the words I have been seeing very regularly over twitter and facebook!

Today, Thursday Nov 4th. The word seem to spread faster than a virus.

Everyone was hit by this Uniqlo virus. Well, being a tech enthusiast, queueing up for 12 hours under the cold winter to be one of the first iPhone 2G owner was a piece of cake.

You must be asking if I queued for 12 hours for the opening of Uniqlo as well?

Since it is a new fashion apparel from Japan and the hype was pretty big.

I thought to myself, I don't want to miss this. Not to mention, I was pretty bored and already finis up my assignment and studied in the morning. So I made a short trip to Fahrenheit 88.

I heard that some people queued since 10pm, yesterday for the opening of Uniqlo. Malaysians can be pretty amazing when it comes to shopping. I shall not crap any longer buy just get it on with some pictures.

I was walking from Pavilion to Fahrenheit 88 and there it was, Uniqlo! Walauwei, 3 floors of apparel goodness.

I was greeted by this huge fence. At that time I wished I could just jump right over and start shopping.

After waiting for about 5 minutes. Yes, I waited for 5 minutes.

As soon as I stood inside the shop, all I see was people grabbing clothes like free stuff. Man, Malaysians can really buy.

Wah, special price. Don't have to think twice. Just, BUY! BUY! BUY!

Not to forget the jeans that people have been talking about. The price offered was pretty affordable!

After choosing everything. You are greeted by this nice queue. I personally hate waiting in queue even when I buy my clothes or electronics. 10 minutes feels like 5 hours to me. I can't wait to go home so I can open and enjoy my new stuff.

Well, I left the place after a while empty handed. Well, I was thinking if I should get this orange color jacket. Maybe I shall convince myself on my next trip there.

Few days back, my college had a Halloween Night. I dressed up pretty simply like always invading the streets of SS15. This year I went with my black hockey mask. Many said I looked scarier than those Vampires and Fairy Princess. :D

The night ended with a Teh Tarik Session. Time to hit the books. Finals coming up!

A new device was released by Samsung to fight against the Apple iPad. This this mean that the iPad days are coming to an end? Well, I have had a hands on and I must say there are a couple of things I like and don't like.

Well, there is no perfect product out there. So this product is from Samsung and Maxis is bringing in the Tab for its customers. The Samsung Galaxy Tab owns a much smaller screen which can be a positive side and negative for users, 3.2mp camera, flash supported and a microSD memory slot. So that means you can have endless space for your applications.

The Switch - Movie Review

Few weeks ago I attended a The Switch Movie screening. Thank you Advertlets for the movie passes.

With Jennifer Aniston acting in this movie, I thought I had to give this movie a go. I love to watch her act because its funny and serious at the same time. You must be asking me how? Well, I don't know how to explain it out in words. :D Anyways, the movie was not too long, probably less than 2 hours.

Kassie(Jennifer Aniston) pretty much is about her wanting to have a baby but she needs a sperm donor in order to have one. So she finds a donor(Roland- Patrick Wilson) but her best friend(Wallie- Jason Bateman) disagreed. Her best friend then switch the donor's sperm with his and things happen. You got to watch this movie if you want to know what happened. It made me laugh so hard at some of the parts but there were a few scenes that were cut off. Its like you are watching half way into that scene and it changes into another. I was pretty bummed but I am pretty much used to it. Well, don't let my reason not let you catch this movie. I rate this movie a nice 7.5/10.

Which one to pick?

Ever since I started photography, I have met various people from around the world. From photojournalist to wedding photographers. One of the most common questions being asked by me or my users around is "Which lens should I buy next?". I am not going to talk about what lens is suitable for this and that or what you usually shoot. Today I am talking about the 2 lenses which often people go after to replace their kit lens which is the EF-s 18-55.

Tamron 17-50 F2.8 non VC/VC
Canon EF 17-40 F4L USM

Of course there are other lenses out there like the sigmas and so on. The Tamron non-VC is going for about RM 1000-1100 (2nd hand) and VC is going for around RM 1700-1800 for the VC. Where as canon 17-40 is going for RM 2000-2200 (2nd hand). All 3 lenses price is just around RM 300-600 difference to each other. The Tamron and Canon is usually the choice of lens for many malaysians when they upgrade from their 18-55 kitlens. What makes the Tamron better over the Canon. Well, the F2.8 which is 1 extra stop which allows more light to enter the barrel and 10mm longer in range. However, the Canon is also a winner in its own way with the USM as well as better body build.

There is also the Canon 17-55 which is much more expensive than some L glasses. You get USM, IS as well as the range. A hidden L I must say. Nice colors and build quality. Only drawback is the EF-S mount. Lastly, never be desperate to join the canon L bandwagon. Yes, it is always nice to have red rings and white lenses. However, it won't make you king of the hill if you have to eat grass for the next 1 year. Who doesn't like those red rings.

To be honest, I have used the Tamron 17-50 non-VC and Canon 17-40F4L USM. I have been using the Tamron for about 8 months until I change to Canon 17-40 F4. What made me change?

The build quality is better over the Tamron - Weather sealing. I am constantly shooting in various conditions like beaches as well as in the rain. *Note: There is no such thing as waterproof lenses.
USM on the Canon which helps to focus the subject faster
Better colors as well as much sharper at 17mm compared to the Tamron. This doesn't mean the Tamron is not sharp, you will have to try a few copies to get a good one which does not suffer from focusing problems and so on.

I am willing to lose an extra stop & extra 10mm for better colors as well as USM. It all depends on what you want and how much you are willing to fork out. There is always no such thing as which lens do I go for next. Here is a tip on how to choose your next lens.

Look at your budget. Then see what you need. You will know your limitations if you snap enough. Faster focusing speed? More range? Image Stabilization?
At the end of the day, you will be using the lens. Not someone else. So choose what you are comfortable with.

A few weeks back, I was invited by Victoria . The event was held at Sunway Pyramid Main Concourse. Many bloggers, media representatives as well as local celebrities attended this Fair & Awards. Not to mention, I got a perfume from the goodie bag which they gave. Thank you Sony Pictures and Advertlets for the preview passes to catch The Other Guys. This time around, won't bore with you guys with a chunk of words about the synopsis because that just makes my post boring. As usual I will put a trailer below for those who have not seen it.

So you must be asking how do I get passes to the movie? Well, every movie screening, Advertlets will ask us to do something crazy, insane and dangerous to win those preview passes. I am just kidding.

In order to win, I have to answer this question "Tell us how you'll stand out being The Other Guys". Well, after looking at JonYKT entry, we had the same idea or maybe I copied. I am back from the MOOOVIES. This movie kick ass. It is a must watch. Its about two guys trying to be the superhero for the police force after two of the old super heroes _. Well you have to watch the movie if you want to know more. Throughout the movie, there was quite a number of fighting scenes as well as talking scenes. It is pretty much balanced. Being me, I hate watching action movies which have more talking than fighting. The movies is already out in the cinema. Some of the jokes that the character say throughout the movie doesn't make sense but is funny if you understand it. I have nothing much to say except go check it out. I rate it a nice 8/10.

Yesterday night I attended a LowYat.net gathering. Apple Byte gathering to be exact. So that means iPhone 4, iPod Touch, iPod Nano, iPads and even a Dell Streak! It is my 2nd time attending and this time, 50+ people was there. There were discussions as well as poisoning session. Tried iMovie on the iPhone 4 and I liked it. Guess it is time to buy the app after 2 months? Accessories were also going on sale like Carbon back for the iPhone 4, Screen Protectors, casings and even a Vapor case! Goodies were also given out for free to those who attended.

I had meet many new faces as well as the old ones. It was fun meeting different people who share the same interest. Well, no photos from me this time, but do enjoy the Drone Demo video. See you guys at the future gatherings.

Hello! Yesterday was pretty much an awesome day. Completed and passed up my assignments in the morning and then headed out to Sunway Pyramid for SaSa Colors & Fragrance Fair & Awards 2010. The award was pretty cool. They gave me a women's perfume as part of the goodie bag. I think its for me to use so I can smell good. I think in a more flowery and fruity way. :D After the event, a group of bloggers went to Mark's Place, Kelana Jaya for his Restaurant Anniversary. Well, I had steak, pasta(picture) and spicy fish which tasted salty. After all the food, we were still hungry so we went to Ming Tian. Well, its already Sunday and that means back to class on Monday. YAY! Anyways, I have been doing a little photoshoot over the weekend and here is a little sneak peek. Latest Movie Review!

Don't know what movie to watch when you visit the cinema? This few weeks, I have been getting or maybe seeing tweets/Facebook comments on what movie should they watch. I'm here to write a short and sweet reviews of the 3 latest movies that I have watched. Resident Evil Afterlife, Devil and The Owls of Ga'Hoole. All of them are different from one another.

Resident Evil Afterlife:

Well, the movie is pretty alright. Nothing to shout about if you are not a resident evil fan. The movie is straight forward and the action scenes is pretty cool. With all the blood and zombie shooting. I almost slept during this movie due to the slow paced storyline. If you want to watch it, you can give it a go. Lets say if you don't watch it, it is alright to give a miss. Rate the movie a big 6/10. :D Would like to thank Jeremy for the passes.

Devil:

A horror flick? Well, after watching the movie, it didn't seem much of a horror movie. The movie revolves around the lift. Someone in that lift is the Devil. I can't tell you who but you got to watch this movie. It is pretty good and I was pretty freaked out when someone behind me scream after knowing who the Devil was. HAHA! The movie is a little bit straight forward as you know what will happen when someone in the lift is about to die. Or maybe they didn't. Rate this movie a 7/10. The Owls of Ga'Hoole:

Between the 2 movies above, I'd say this is the most informative as well as cool looking show. It is about a group of bad & good owls fight and one of the owl leader dies. To be honest, I never knew that much about owls except they HROOOO. This time I learn't that owls trust their gizzard when they do something. Very nice storyline and they go straight to the point. Rate this movie a 7.5/10. Thank you Advertlets for the screening passes.

You must be asking on what type of out that I like. I like the Great Horned Owl because of the tufts of feathers they have which looks like a horn if you ask me. That is probably the reason of its name. The owl that I like is big and fat which probably look like me. It is one of the heaviest owl and weights around 1400 grams on average. This owl can be found all over America.

Last weekend, I attended Taylors Model United Nations Subang(TAYMUN). It is basically a club with a sole purpose of making difference in this world regardless of ethnicity, religion and personality. I was there to listen to their talk and see how the debate goes on. Here are some pictures. They mainly talked about how war, religion and countries unite as one and oppose the other. It is quite fun to listen and understand how our younger generations will lead the country. :)

Brian Joo had a Fan Meet with his Malaysia Fans at Opera,Sunway Pyramid sometime back. In case you don't know him, he is the one who sings Jason Derulo's In My head in Korean. Brian Joo is born in Los Angeles, California of Korean descent. I personally like his first single Don't go.

Besides singing, Brian also had a session where he had the chance to talk as well as play games with his fans. The atmosphere was just incredible. Hoping one day I get to hug all 9 So Nyuh Shi Dae members! :P

Phua Chu Kang The Movie Press Conference

On Aug 20th 2010, I attended Phua Chu Kang The Movie Press Conference at Ritz Carlton Hotel Kuala Lumpur. It was my first time meeting Phua Chu Kang in person. I have been watching his series on NTV 7 since the first season until the reason season. He always seem to make me laugh no matter what.

MOFEW 2010

About a month back, I attended MOFEW. It has got something to do with 2 key elements. Mainly online and fashion. Well, it is a place where people showcase their fashion and sell their items to the public. You can find 101 stuff like top for 5 dollars to dress and so on. The event was laid out to a 3 day event for people around to buy as well as learn about fashion. Latest trend I would say.

The day started with the opening ceremony. You get to see the speech from the event organizers as well as entrepreneur's all around. Later on that day, you will be able to enjoy a catwalk showing the latest dresses as well as outfit from the various booths.

Later the next day, they had belly dancing. Well, who doesn't like to watch them shake their thing. WOO HOO!!

They were selling mostly clothes and outfits for ladies. I only found 1 booth that sells men's T-shirt. Skin products to hair bands were put up for sale. Well, fashion plays an important role in the modern day like today. Surely everyone will dress nicely when they go out as it reflects their personality. An example would be my. Wearing boxers, T-shirt and slippers while going out to take photographs. What do you think about me?

The day ended with a fashion show followed by a performance by An Honest Mistake! It was a fun event and I definitely learnt a lot about fashion when I was there. Well, not everyday you get a fashion enthusiast to give you tips and tell you about the latest trends.

Annyeonghaseyo! Just got back from Mid Valley hours ago and I am dead tired. Day 2 of taking photos at MOFEW is finally over. Tomorrow will be another big day. So many booths, so many clothes, so pretty girls. I took photos of 2 fashion shows as well as a video film about the event(MOFEW). Well, it is still not finish yet. Fasting month..

Good Day! I have been pretty busy with college and it has been great. Making new friends as well as learning new stuff. My schedule is pretty alright but some days I am pretty much packed with classes the whole day. This coming few weeks will be pretty excited. All the seminar and quizzes.

Since fasting month is around the corner. I found this while surfing lowyat kopitiam. Look at it and somehow it reminded me the meaning of fasting. Well, it teaches me about patience, humility as well as spirituality. It also teaches me not to scold and say bad words for 1 complete month. HAHA. Anyways, I would like to wish each and every one of my muslim friends a Happy Ramadan.

Will be looking forward for more Ramadan market, food, Hari Raya, breaking my fast with all my friends as well as enjoy this holy month. Remember to invite me for dinner and I will invite you for mine. HAHA!

MTV World Stage 2010

Last Saturday I went for MTV World Stage 2010. I would like to thank BlupBlup and Celcom for the passes! It was raining heavily and despite the rain, many still made their way to Sunway Lagoon to catch their favorite artist LIVE! Bunkface. Tokio Hotel. Katy Perry. Wonder Girls.

Bunkface was the first to rock out the stage during the MTV World Stage with their song Prom Queen. Everyone was singing along under the rain.

After their performance, I sent a few tweets and it appeared on TV. After the concert, many said they saw my tweet. Not bad ehh. Did you? :)

After waiting for 10 days. I means few minutes, wonder girls came out on stage. *I want nobody nobody but chu!" I have always wanted to watch Wonder Girls Live. Man they are hot. :D My body went back up to the rocking stage after their performance. The rain did not matter to me anymore.

My tummy was painful as I had not eaten my dinner. Listened to Tokio Hotel for a while and went out to Pyramid f0r my dinner. Filled my tummy and I went back inside to catch Katy Perry LIVE!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..

Katy Perry came out with her Ballerina outfit and it looked great. I did not feel tired or hungry at that moment of time. I was just moving along with the song. As I am writing this, I am practically speechless. The performance was just awesome. Worth the time, soaking under the rain as well as being squashed by 101 people. Who says Malaysians can't Rock!

A few weeks back I attended The Sorcerer's Apprentice media screening by Advertlets. Thank you for the passes.

The movie was at 10.30am. So I had to wake up early and head out to Mid Valley and suffer the morning jam on the Federal Highway. Arrived early and waited at McD with the bloggers. Bought a huge cup of iced lemon tea and entered the cinema.

A short storyline about the movie. No spoilers here. So you just just continue reading.

Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Balthazar can't do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé. The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness. It'll take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

After watching the movie, you must be wondering how I felt about it? Well, the movie by Disney and you can expect less horror as well as less foul language. The movie is like a mini version of Harry Potter. You will enjoy the movie if you are a Disney fan. You can see magic casting going around the movie as well as a hawk made out of metal flying in the movie. Something pretty amazing. Wish I could ride on one. HAHA! This movie is entertaining if you are a person who likes more action than talking. I hate those talking movies which can make me sleep.

Even the movie Eclipse,Twilight series. I watched TWICE without sleeping. :D The movie Sorcerer's Apprentice have been in cinemas for already 8 days. So if you guys have not watched it, I suggest you guys to do so. Here is a short trailer for you to enjoy! :)

Funky Villa Food Review-eCurve

Remember my last visit to Funky Villa a month back? Well, I went there again to review their food. I would like to thank Ewinee for inviting me. This restaurant serves authentic Thai cuisine and lets see how the food goes. We didn't know what to order so we let the restaurant decide and hit with their speciality.

Soon the food came and everyone started snapping. Well, when you do a review, you are always bound to eating food that is not as hot as before. Before they start serving they served us with lemon grass drinks.

The first sip that I took felt like I have just gotten a shot of steroids. It was pretty good and I somehow enjoy it. I always drink my ice lemon tea with a little bit of lemon grass.

Then the dishes started to come. I shall put pictures and little remarks below the food for easier reference.

Green Curry Chicken- A regular green curry chicken. Not as spicy as the red curry and they were very generous with the amount of chicken. Some thai restaurant tend to put more curry and less chicken.

Red Curry Chicken- Well, I like this dish mainly because I am a person who enjoy spicy food. I felt that this is better than t he green curry.

Mango Salad with Tofu- Very good as starters. Give you the sour taste before eating those sweet dish. The mango tasted very fresh.

Thai Style Otak Otak- Something different. I gives you the slight coconut taste and it doesn't have any fishy smell. Normally you will find otak otak inside pandan leaf but this time its inside a coconut shell. A must try if you visit. I don't think you can find this dish anywhere.

In thai this dish is called Tong Long. It is a dished which has a mixture of popiah, beef skewers, squid skewers as well as Mango Salad. Good as starters and I personally like the skewers. The beef was soft and it went well with the sauce. You can skip the mango salad dish when you order the Tong Long. Comes with 3 different types of chilli sauce.

Both Tom Yam. What makes the red one different compared to the clear one is the coconut milk that they added. Some prefer the to have the coconut feel while some don't. Both is equally great and it goes down to self preference. The clear one is much more spicier than the Tom Yam which is red in colour.

Fish Fillet with tamarind sauce. One of my favorites. The fish was soft in the inside and crispy in the outside. Not very soft but just nice. Goes very well with white rice.

Last but not least, the best dish I have eaten that night. Beef Salad. This dish was just incredible. It had a slight taste of sourness and it really gave the beef a stand out among the other dishes. A must try. Five star!

Bye the time we were done eating, we moved to the sofa area so chill with out drinks. We were indeed full and they asked if we wanted to do a second round. By the look of everyone's faces, we decided to pass. Then came the dessert. When it comes to Thai Dessert, the main thing you look forward to is Mango Sticky Rice. Which is what us Malaysians call.

The rice was not that sticky and the mango was a little bit soft. The sweetness of the mango went well with the coconut milk on the rice. Simple yet tasty.

I then played some FIFA with the PS3 and I felt it was my lucky night. I won all the games. WOOOO.. Guess I still do have my touch. Still needs more sharpening. :)

I will be on holiday over the weekend picking strawberries as well as buying some tea at the tea farm. Till then, over and out!

Overall I will vote:
8/10 for the service. Efficient & Friendly.
7.5/10 for the food quality and quantity. Nice and the price are reasonable.
7/10 for the environment. Colorful, cosy interior, clean and comfortable.

B2ST Malaysia Showcase-KL Live

A few weeks back I went for B2ST showcase at KL Live and it was one great show. Going for the Press Conference at Nikko Hotel,KL. This time I didn't get to meet any of the boys in the toilet like the last incident at happened at Mandarin Oriental,KL. Thank you Advertlets for the passes!

Well, there weren't much pictures compered to the B2ST Fan Meet. I didn't feel so good the other night but I still managed to click a few pictures. Fret not, there is still the fan meet at 1 Utama. More pictures from there to come. Probably in the next post.

Out of hundreds of fan or maybe thousands, guess who I managed to spot. :P

The management was pretty bad for this event. I think I heard that a number of people fainted and complained that they were let in an hour late when the invite they got said at 7.

iPhone 3GS facing antenna issues like the iPhone 4?

With the recent hype of the iPhone 4 release in the US market. There were various problems being faced by users around the world. One of the biggest or well known problems is the antenna problem where signal bar will drop when you hold the iPhone a certain way. Well, there have been a debate on if people should buy the phone or wait for the next refresh or put a bumper and leave with it.

A few days back, Apple demonstrate a couple of smart phones like the BlackBerry 9700, HTC Droid as well as the Omnia II by Samsung. Well, I am not going to talk about any of this 3 brand as I don't have the phone with me do to a proper test.

As you all know there is also a demonstration regarding the 3GS signal drop and I decided to try it out. As you all know the antenna on the 3GS is right behind(text area). Here is a video of my test:

So what do you think? There are many 3GS users who said that the iPhone 4 is facing antenna problems and their 3GS is not. Well, I think most of them does not know that their 3GS has the antenna problem as well as contemplating that they will wait for the next refresh.

I think that if you really want it, go for it. Don't make the antenna issue a problem for you. Well, everything you buy in this world has a problem. It is just a matter on how you see it. Why do people still buy the iPhone 3GS when the phone face the same antenna issue?

U-Kiss Malaysia Promo Tour 2010

A few weeks back, I attended U-Kiss Malaysia Promo Tour at Kuala Lumpur Convention center. The crowd on that day was just insane. Thousands of people queueing up just to see U-Kiss. Before I start, this will be a long post filled with pictures and the least amount of words. HAHA!

The crowd at Kuala Lumpur Convention center. U-kiss promo tour is one of those events that really have good coordination between the artist as well as the fans.

The night started with some games with the fans. Fans get to hug, as well as shake their hands on stage. The atmosphere was indescribable. Fans cheering here and there as well as laughter.

Later that evening, they had an autograph session. Those who bought VIP tickets will get their CD autographed by U-KISS and those who bought the normal tickets will get a CD given out by U-Kiss.

Latest Digi iPhone plan

Here is it. After figuring out for few hours, I finally understand the new iPhone 3GS plan offered by Digi. As you all know, the new iPhone 4 was released a few weeks back and it has been a hit. Demands were more than production units. Well, I am waiting for mine. Hopefully. HAHA. Well, as you all know I am using an iPhone 3GS from Digi as well. This post is not to talk bad about Digi.

It is more of helping users understand the way the market revolve and different marketing strategy is done to pull people into buying or selling something. Well, it is part of life. So here is Digi new iPhone 3GS plan. So as you can see from the link, you can see monthly fee being cut from 89(iDigi88) a month to 60 and 138(iDigi138) a month to 90. As you scroll down further, you see the phone price being cut as well. Sounds Good?

Here is the deal.

We take iDigi88. Now reduced to RM60
Saving RM88 - RM60 = RM 28 x 24 months = RM 672.00!

So that means you will be saving Rm 672. So far so good?

With iDigi88, the 3GS 32GB price is RM1,790

But when you click the payment page. You can see that

You will be paying RM 2462 for the plan for iphone 3GS 32GB when you subscribe with Digi using a credit card/cash.

If you subtract RM 2462 from the iPhone 3GS price which I mention earlier, RM 1790

You will get a total of Rm 672!

So where does this RM 672 come from? Well it is from the 672 which you saved from plan cost.

In simpler terms, the discount that Digi offered is actually not a discount. You pay the Rm 672 as discount upfront which is included in the total of RM 2462. They want to make you think that you are actually paying the iDigi 88(Rm88) plan for a cheaper price.

You are bound for 24 months contract when you buy from Digi.

Overall, you are actually paying the same price as the previous price before offered by Digi.

It is like 1+1+6=8 and 1+1+(2x3)=8.

Super GT 2010

A few weeks back, I went to Super GT with Mynjayz, JonYKT& Josh together with my dad. Every year I will go to Sepang for F1 as well as Super GT. Well, that is the difference? Well, the cars are different as well as the GT Girls. HAHA. So it was a sunny sunday morning with clear blue skies and we stroll around the mall area.

There were a few booth promoting their own products like Denso and so on. So we starting snapping. Just to warm up the camera as well as to support out local girls. :D

When you come all the way down to Sepang, you must also camwhore right? HAHA

So I left the guys and went for the Paddock walk. Well, it is the only time that you can get up close as well as have a chat with the GT Girls. Only if you know how to speak Japanese. LOL. There was hundreds of photographers trying to take pictures and you have to squeeze with them if you want your pictures. Well, it was worth it and I must say it is fun.

Zent GT girls. Well, I think she is the hottest this year. What is your pick?

Well, I don't know what outfit she is wearing but you should get the idea. :P

So I walked the whole stretch of the grid to snap a couple of photos and left the place after that. So here are the photos:

So I left the grid and made my way to the grandstand. Went to my favorite spot so I can get a couple of nice shot before experimenting different spots. Sadly this year I didn't get any pictures of flames coming out of the cars muffler.

Well, I was getting bored with the panning so I went back to the main stage at the mall area to watch the GT Girls go on stage and give out prizes to the crowd from their respective teams.

Well, then I left the the mall area and went back to catch the final few laps and the prize giving ceremony.

Well, Calsonic Impul team won the Super GT Championship.

Well, the race ended and I walked out to the mall area to meet up with the guys and we left Sepang at 7pm. It was a hot day indeed. Filled with action,cars as well as GT Girls. Will I be coming back next year? Of course I will! Hope you enjoy the photos and also that is how I spent my Fathers Day with my Dad! :D HAHA

U-Kiss Press Conference

Last Saturday I made my way down to Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur to photograph U-Kiss Promo Tour right here in Malaysia. Well before we get started, do you know I am under or you can call it working under a radio station called SEOUL FM. SEOUL FM is basically a radio station that plays Korean music 24 hours a day which you demand without any ads or crap related stuff that you hate.

Back to U-Kiss, so I was at Mandarin Oriental getting ready to sign up and this guy who looks like a korean guy smiled at me. Well, I smiled back at him without knowing who he was. I have to admit, it is hard to differentiate korean singers because they look all the same with different hairstyles. I only knew he was one of the U-Kiss member when I entered the press conference.

So the Press Conference started off with short explanation about how U-Kiss was formed and a few Questions and Answers was thrown around the room. So I was just snapping here and there and few pictures was taken. As usual nothing much really happens at Press Conference. So I just left the place and headed down to Kuala Convention Center. Well, thats about it.

Foursquare Day-Tune Hotel(Kota Damansara)

Two days ago I attended a Foursquare World Meetup Day with Tune Hotels. So there were about 300+ different meet up in 64 different countries. That is quite a number isn't it. Well, I have been using Foursquare for about a year now and checking over 300+ times.

Well, Foursquare is basically a something which allows you to check in at places you visited. May it be a cinema or a restaurant. So there can be 100 or 5000 people checking in at that specific place. Then there is another thing called Mayorship. Mayorship is obtained when you check in at that place you visited the most. An example would be an Apple Store in LA. You check in 17 times and the other check in 16 times. This means you are he highest check in and you will get a mayorship. When the other person check in 18 times, you will lose your mayorship because he/her has more check in that you at that place.

So what is so special about mayorships? Well, restaurants nowadays are offering discounts or even free food if you are the mayor of that place. Different places have different offer. Not every restaurant you visit have it.

Foursquare helps to promote your place to other people and they can give tips to other people if they are satisfied or not. You can also collect badges when you check in. Lets say you visit 5 different Starbucks, you will get a Barista badge.

So at 7pm, everyone came to Tune Hotel(Kota Damansara) to check in. The first 50 check in will receive a goodie bag. A RM 50 SPA voucher as well as T-Shirt,Cap and a 2 Days 1 Night stay at Tune Hotel.

It took us nearly 50 minute to get 50 people to check in and get the swarm badge. Well, I already got mine few months ago so this time I was just helping out with my check in.

Tune Hotel's tagline is "5-Star Sleeping Experience for 1-Star Price. Affordable, Clean and Safe!". They have 5 branches in Malaysia itself and 2 overseas(London and Indonesia). Tune Hotel was build in Damansara mainly because of the facilities available between a 200 meter radius. Supermarkets, schools, restaurants and so on.

Later on that night, everyone headed out to Bangkok Wasabi for some Thai Food! The food is pretty good there.

Everyone is happily eating their thai food. Green curry chicken! :)

Chillex Cafe-Opening

Hello Hello :) A few days ago I went to Chillex Cafe for their opening. Well, it took me 30 minutes to find the place and with a little bit of luck as well. I was kinda late though. Better late than never! Well, this cafe is basically a place for friends and family. Very friendly environment.

The food portion is pretty big. I can't remember the name of the burger but it was great. 8 inches tall if I am not mistaken and going for 20+ ringgit. So if you have a big appetite, you can go for it. I was challenged if I could finish the burger in 20 minutes. Do you think I can after 32 scoops of Haagen Dazs at Solaris end of last year? The burger and hotdog taste pretty good. Big and juicy just the way I like. HAHA

Some finger food to kick off the night. Well, they had some fish/prawns cakes on the serai and you dip with Thai Chili Sauce. The feeling when it melts in your mouth is just great.

BBQ Skewers which MissyCheerio ordered! It is pretty good.

Every Thai Restaurant will have Pad Thai and it is a must. It was good. They put a lot of nuts inside and it is something I usually look forward to. Everything is pretty decent and I would definitely try again the next time.

There was a pole dance, salsa dance as well as other performance and games that was prepared for us that night.

Toys Story 3 Screening

Few days ago I went for Toys Story 3 Screening at Mid Valley with a bunch of Advertlets Bloggers. So they had a meet and greet with Woody and Buzz as well as a short speech from TM and the CEO of Disney Malaysia. Everything well pretty fast and well organized. The meet and greet costumes was specially flown from Hong Kong just for this event. How awesome is that!

Anyways, the event started with an introduction about the movie as well as some games from Azura from Disney Buzz.

Then it is time for the speech. Thank You Mr. TM for giving me the chance to watch this movie 5 days earlier than the release date!

So Buzz and Woody came onto the stage to officiate the launch of Toys Story 3 in Malaysia!

After waiting for 10 years! YES! 10 years. I finally get to watch toys story 3. After watching the movie, I must say the movie is completely different towards the previous 2. This time you will see more action as well as new toys! I won't post any spoilers this time but you guys have got to watch the movie. I am just out of words as I type this post. There will be many touching moments in the movie and lets just say there was some who cried. So remember to bring your tissue aite! Loved Buzz spanish mode. "Buzz Lightyear, al rescate!". Overall, it is a great movie.

I give it a 8.5/10! :)

Thanks Advertlets as well as Sony for inviting me for the Sony NEX Launch at Teeq Brasserie, Lot 10, MALAYSIA. The event was indeed an organized one filled with games, lucky draw as well as food for everyone. Not to forget the launching for the NEX camera. This launch was catered for Sony users who wants to experience the new dimension of Digital SLR. Both cameras(NEX 3 & NEX 5) are nearly identical. The higher-end NEX-5 composed of magnesium alloy, and the NEX-5 offers full HD AVCHD video recording.

Both cameras come in kits with either an 18-55mm or 16mm pancake prime lens. It also allows you to change your lenses with non E-mount lenses using an adapter. So that means you can put a 70-200 F2.8 G lens on the NEx 5. The photo quality is really good for its price. One thing that I like is the 18-55 kit lens is pretty sharp, but you can see slight distortion at the 18mm range. The number one thing that impress me is the 7FPS on this little fella. So small yet so fast. When I put the camera on my hands, it feels great. Small, light and very solid.

Sadly this camera does not come with a build in flash. So it uses an external flash which can be fitted on the connector on top of the camera. Another thing that I dislike is that, the flash does not allow ceiling bounce. It only allows you to shoot directly to the subject which can be pretty harsh.

The video on the NEX 5 is quite noisy but still acceptable. The autofocus on the NEX is something not I expected. It hunts under the low lighting pretty often and sometimes it hunt for no reason when it is already lock into the subject. Lets hope sony will do something about this in the upcoming firmware update. If not this will be one of the main reasons for me to get my hands on the NEX 5.

This camera allows you to do sweep panorama as well as HDR on the autoHDR mode. In july, sony will be releasing a new firmware for its NX5 which allows you to to view 3D panorama pictures on supported 3D TV.

Overall I am pretty impressed with the camera. The picture quality, build quality, sweep panorama and auto HDR. So how is it compared to the Alpha 550? Well, I can say there are some pros and cons for both cameras. Like there is one video on the NEX and not on the A550. The noise control on the A550 is better than the NEX. Both camera are priced nearly the same. So will the NEX take over the new generation of DSLR or the old huge body will still dominate the market. For me, I will go for the old huge body anytime. Why? Better noise control and I it feels much better in my hands. Well, maybe the weight will be a problem. But hey, I still get the pictures I want.

This is my cozy workstation. The place where I watch my movies, play games and so fourth. I have posted my rig version few weeks back. I update my workstation pretty regularly. As you can see this is already V6. That means there was V1-V5 before. I can't remember where I have posted but it is somewhere on the internet. HAHA. When I go out to the store, I am bound to come back with something. It is like when a girl goes shopping. Well, I am a gadget freak. I post some little notes on my picture in my Flickr. You guys can go and check it out by flicking the little link at the side. Well, it it my first time posting this style of blog post. It seems weird but looks cool at the same time. Maybe I will blog like this a couple of times to see it goes. Sadly I can only share 1 picture in a post. I still need to sort out a couple of stuff first and I have my US Visit post coming right up. Well, I am back once again and I guess this would be the last post before I go for my vacasyun. Not really a vacasyun. :D I will be away for 2 weeks so that means I will not be updating much except a couple of pictures if I have the time. I will upload most of my pictures on my Flickr. So do check them out alright.

I am very particular on how I build my workstation. Since I am a PC enthusiast, I tend to look for better upgrades each time. Well, I have stopped all that and moved to photography. Well, I do it for past time and meet new friends.

When it comes to a workstation, I am sure you have your ways of arranging or designing. After all you will be the one sitting there for hours watching a movie or either writing a review. For my workstation, I try to keep my colours to black and white since my drawer is blue which is the same colour as my room.

Many have asked me to do a video since they can't feed on little pictures. So I decided to come out with the video. Actually this video is to show my Soshi rig but it is the exact same thing.

Soshi is basically another term to call SNSD or better known as So Nyuh Shi Dae. In this video I will be playing 3 different SNSD videos and see how it performs. Well, not really a rig comparison but just a rough idea on how it works between a huge monster and the little fella.

Yesterday night I posted a picture of Bill Kaulitz(above) and everyone was re-tweeting that specific picture. My flickr views went sky high and even beat my blog's traffic. First time in my life something like this happened. Maybe it is just all the fans wanting a nice picture of Bill. I myself enjoy every part of the concert when you have to take pictures as well as rocking at the concert venue. I shall not bore you guys more and get straight to the point. I would like to thank Joon Meng, for giving me passes to catch Tokio Hotel live as well as Advertlets+TM for giving me the chance to attend the event.

Miss Universe Malaysia Final Day- Kuala Lumpur

Few weeks ago I was at Royal Chulan Hotel to cover the Miss Universe Malaysia 2010 Final Auditions. It was the last chance for the ladies to make the final cut. Thank You Advertlets for giving me the chance to cover such a big event and I must say, the company is what I look forward to when I shoot.

I must say MOS is one of my favorite venues when it comes to attending events.

One day I was surfing Lowyat.net and I came across this guy and he was using a watermark which really attracted me. Some of you might have seen my National Geographic watermark. HAHA. My 40D watermark!

City Harvest Church Sunway

Weeks ago, Leonard asked me to go to City Harvest Church, Sunway as his band, An Honest Mistake will be playing there. Well, rock band playing at churches? I always thought churches are places where you go and pray to god or meet new friends. Shawn Lee will also be there beat boxing his way through the night.

That night, City Harvest Church was giving out an iPod Touch for one lucky girl/boy. It is actually a lucky draw prize. So I went there to photograph the band and see the church. I have seen Churches in Italy where they have dungeons below.

Formula 1 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix

It is a one-two finish for RBR-Renault. Sebastian Vettel won the 2010 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix. This year, I actually sat at the Hillstand area to experience something different as I have sat a the Grandstand area before. It was a very windy day which really help many spectators to enjoy the race even more.

Lotus Racing Homecoming. A big thank you to Tune Hotel and Advertlets for the invite to experience this wonderful showcase. Few days ago, I was invited by Advertlets and join Tune Hotel company to attend a Lotus F1 Press Conference that was held at Pavilion Shopping Mall. I was quite exicted about this event because, Malaysia had finally put themselves into the international stage whereby they are having their own F1 car. Not Malaysian names on international cars.

The Malaysian car has pulled quite a number of big names to sponsor our country's Lotus f1 car. Names such as Tune Hotel Group, Naza, Maxis, Proton, 1 Malaysia etc. We, as a Malaysian should be proud of it.

Heikki Kovalainen, Jarno Truli and our very own Malaysian driver, Fairuz Fauzy are the drivers for Lotus F1 team.

Belanga - Mid Valley

Weeks ago I was invited by Belanga to do a food review over at their place. Belanga was offering their new menu and some of the authentic Kelantanese dishes. Since my dad was originated from Kelanatan, I know how the real authentic Kelanatanses delicasies feel like. Belanga’s founder, Pn. Zainab Shiyuti explained a little bit about her restaurant and how it all started

Their avocado drink. I must say it is a little pricy but if price doesn't matter. It is a must try!

Then comes the food tasting part. Which I always look forward to during a food review. Now I understand why restaurants like to talk first before eating. If not people will go home when they are full. HAHA

Overall the food is pretty good but not par with original Kelantanese food. If you don't want to spend the extra buck to fly to Kelantan, this is the place to try. However the price is pretty high. The ambience and cleanliness is top class.

Advertlets invited me to attend the 1st Audition for Miss Universe Malaysia 2010 at One World Hotel. It is a big event indeed where the prettiest and most outstanding lady will represent Malaysia for Miss Universe 2010.

Miss Universe 2010 will be the the 59th Miss Universe pageant, the venue to be announcement.Stefanía Fernández from Venezuela, Miss Universe 2009, will crown her successor at the end of this event. More than 80 countries and territories will compete for the title and the pageant will broadcast live on NBC and Telemundo.
